LSK President Nelson Havi has revealed why he did not fly to Canada to accompany embattled lawyer Miguna Miguna back home.

Speaking in a TV interview on Tuesday, November 16, Havi said that he could not process his travel documents on time to rescue Miguna Miguna.

The LSK President said that it was the same case with former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga who was to travel to Canada for the same mission.

LSK President Nelson Havi has revealed why he did not fly to Canada to accompany embattled lawyer Miguna Miguna back home.

LSK President Nelson Havi said that even though they wished to stand with Miguna Miguna, they had to follow due process.

“We were not able to travel. It took longer for us to process our visas. Mutunga’s Canadian visa was released yesterday. There is no way he could have flown,

“My appointment for the German Embassy visa application was scheduled for the first of December, which is next month. We must respect the protocol in other offices. We cannot just force them to do our bidding,” Nelson Havi said.

However, the lawyer vowed to continue fighting for the rights of Miguna Miguna in the Kenyan Court.

Miguna was scheduled to land in Kenya on November 16, but this wasn’t possible as his trip to Nairobi was blocked.

The self-declared General said that the airline that he was meant to use from Berlin to Paris failed to clear him for travel due to a red alert from the government of Kenya.

“This is to inform Kenyans and the world that AirFrance officials at the check-in counter at the Berlin Brandenburg Airport have just informed me that the Government of Kenya sent them a “red alert” this morning that they cannot fly me to Nairobi. I’m waiting for a copy,” Miguna wrote in a tweet.

He vowed to continue fighting for his constitutional rights through the Kenyan courts.
