by Enock Ndayala

US-based Kenyan lawyer and activist Makau Mutua has sensationally claimed that Deputy President William Ruto is laying ground to reject 2022 election results.

Mutua stated that the deputy president who has got a tendency to speak indiscreetly in the recent past is in a panic mood and that he has sensed a resounding defeat in the 2022 General Election.

“It’s clear William Ruto is laying the ground to reject the 2022 elections when he loses- resoundingly.  Panic has set in as he cries foul even before the first ballot is cast.  The man from Sugoi should choose his words carefully.  Loose talk is dangerous,” Mutua said in a Tweet.

US-based Kenyan lawyer and activist Makau Mutua has sensationally claimed that Deputy President William Ruto is laying ground to reject 2022 election results.

On Wednesday, December 22, the deputy president continued his public criticism of the bid by ODM leader Raila Odinga’s allies to amend the Political Parties Act claiming it will result in the country having a puppet leader.

Ruto who was in Garissa Township to popularise his Bottom Up economic model said the controversial Political Parties (Amendments) Bill, 2021 which currently sits in the National Assembly awaiting the third reading is just but meant to help his bitter rival Raila Odinga to ascend to power through shortcuts.

“You have started another scheme that you want to select for us a puppet who serves the interest of a few rich people so that you can install him to run the affairs of a nation to the detriment of millions of Kenyans,

“We are telling you, the people of Kenya, will not accept a puppet president that serves the interest of a few rich people. The people of Kenya will elect their president who serves the interest of every Kenyan irrespective of their financial status, the community they come from or their religion because we believe in a united country,” Ruto said.
