Makerere University student offers to be President Museveni’s side chic

by Enock Ndayala

A Makerere University graduate has offered herself to be Uganda President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s side chic.

Asheba Annah, penned a romantic poem addressing it to Uganda President decrying the continued closure of learning institutions. Museveni shut down schools in March 2020 to curb the spread of COVID-19.

In her poem titled “I want to Be Museveni’s Side Chic,” the 23-year-old Degree holder in Bachelor of Arts highlighted how the closure of schools had affected jobless graduates.

“I want to be Museveni’s side chic so that during those cosy moments, I tell him that the thought of schools still closed turns me off,

“I want to tell him touch touch me slow and then when he’s charged for action, I tell him that the education crisis dried my feelings. I can’t even fake anything. I want to promise to do him all he wants as long as schools are re-opened,” Asheba said.

Annah list some of the things she will do should Uganda’s longest-serving Head of State gives in to her offers.

She said she will capitalize on the money she will get from her ‘sugar daddy’ to give back to society.

“I want to start using the money he gives me as sugar daddy to give back activities to the community. I know how to make reusable pads, and I could get enough capital to make this social enterprise grow and benefit many girls out there,” she said.

She further stated that given the opportunity to be Museveni’s side chic, she will use the opportunity to convince her president to release all prisoners who were unjustly arrested.

“I want to be Museveni’s side chic so that when after reading a poem for him, I tell him that censorship, arrest, torture, and imprisonment of writers is inhuman, cowardly and an act and violation of human rights,” she said.
