Makueni Governor dares Kalonzo to eject him from the party

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has dared Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to expel him.

According to the Makueni Governor, Wiper Party has been writing letters to him, asking him to appear before the disciplinary committee.

“Let them (Wiper) do as they wish. I cannot stop them from ejecting me from the party. If I’m no longer useful to the party, I cannot stop them from doing what they want,” said Kibwana.

During a meeting with Kamba elders at his residence, Makueni Governor stated that all the accusations laid against him by the Kalonzo-led party do not hold water.

The party wrote a letter to Kivutha, asking him to show cause why he should not be expelled on grounds of indiscipline.

Wiper Party is accusing the Makueni Governor of undermining its party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

But according to Kibwana, Wiper has termed him as a threat to Kalonzo Musyoka after his presidential bid was endorsed by elders from the 22 Kamba clans last week.

Kivutha Kibwana was also accused of failing to pay monthly subscription fees to the party.

The show of might between Kivutha Kibwana and Kalonzo Musyoka comes amid a decision by Wiperv party to exit the NASA coalition.

On Monday, July 26, Wiper made an official announcement that it will exit the NASA coalition and focus on One Kenya Alliance.

In a press conference held at its headquarters, the party also announced that they have agreed to share the political party funds among all the parties in the NASA coalition.

Kalonzo also announced plans to hold a parliamentary group meeting with all MPs from Wiper, ANC and FORD Kenya to chart their way forward.

“We had a very useful engagement as the Wiper Democratic Movement and reached an agreement to exit NASA to welcome a new formidable coalition- One Kenya Alliance. In making this decision, we have no hard feelings,” Kalonzo announced.
