Makueni senator says foreigners voted for President William Ruto

by Enock Ndayala

President William Ruto on Sunday, October 23, said he was ready to work with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka once he is ready.

While referring to Kalonzo as his ‘elder brother’, the Head of State disclosed that he has been longing to work with the former vice president for quite some time.

“Stephen is my elder brother and when he is ready to work with me, I am ready,” the president said.

President William Ruto on Sunday, October 23, said he was ready to work with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka once he is ready.

However, appearing on Citizen TV’s Day Break show on Monday, October 24, Makueni senator Dan Maanzo revealed reasons why the president is craving to have Kalonzo in his camp.

Maanzo, a key ally of the Wiper leader observed that the First in command is craving to sign Kalonzo because he knows very well that he does not have the number to lead the country.

The vocal legislator sensationally claimed that thousands of Ugandans illegally voted for the UDA presidential candidate William Ruto in the August 9, General Election.

“He (President Ruto) knows he doesn’t have the numbers. He knows there are people who crossed over from Uganda to vote for him, and they are not Kenyans. I blame our agents for not being keen on such matters,” Maanzo said.

Although the National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula declared Kenya Kwanza as the majority in the parliament, Maanzo argued that President Ruto cannot raise the required two-thirds of the total legislator to influence parliament to amend sections of the constitution.

“Clearly, President Ruto cannot raise 2/3 of MPs or Senators without consulting or getting part of Azimio. It is clear to him that he needs the voting block of Kalonzo to stabilize his government fully,

“Ruto and his team know that the election was closely contested, there are many things they cannot do with parliament unless they have more numbers,” he said.
