Karua who was speaking at party headquarters in Nairobi on Monday, May 2, without mentioning names said leaders who are receiving pay for work not done have failed to deliver as far as human resources are concerned.
Karua who is seeking to be picked as ODM leader Raila Odinga’s presidential running mate told Narc Kenya aspirants to manage the financial and human resources well should they win in this year’s General Election.
“We need to manage both the financial and other resources including human resources… As a leader, when you receive payment and you are not working for the people, you are corruptly receiving money for work not done,” Karua said.
Karua who was speaking after issuing Narc Kenya candidates with nomination certificates assured them of full support from the party and urged them not to be intimidated by their competitors from other parties who might have more resources.
Karua’s utterances come just a day after Deputy President William Ruto sensationally said he was no longer working as the deputy president.
Ruto in a statement posted on his official Twitter handle said his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta had stripped him of his duties and assigned to other people.
Ruto who was responding to President Uhuru’s claims that he had run away from his responsibilities and that he had resorted to inciting Kenyans against his government over the rising cost of living yet he is not to blame.
“Sorry, my Boss. I feel your pain. Those you assigned my responsibilities and ‘project’ mzee have let you down miserably,
“They bangled our Big four, killed our party, and wasted your second term. Wao ni bure kabisa.Boss, am available. Just a phone call away. Sadly the last cabinet was 2yrs ago,” William Ruto wrote on social media.
