The Meru Bishop, who embarked on a 300 kilometres journey on foot to deliver what he termed as God’s message to Deputy President William Ruto finally met the 2022 presidential hopeful.
Bishop Peter Machiuka, 63, of the Harvest Christian Church in Igembe North, Meru County arrived in the capital early in the morning of November 9, where he was welcomed at Ruto’s Karen home.
Famous blogger Dennis Itumbi, who works for William Ruto, tweeted the events as they unfolded, posting photos of Bishop Machiuka meeting DP Ruto.
“God asked me to have a prayer walk from Igembe North in Meru County. I was to walk to Nairobi while praying to be able to safely deliver the prophecy to the DP Ruto,” Itumbi tweeted Machiuka’s message.
The bishop kicked off his journey at Kamweline going through Mutuati- Laare- Kangeta before checking in Meru town to Chuka town before heading to Embu- Mwea – Kenol – Thika and finally Nairobi.
The self-styled bishop had earlier reiterated God had sent him to deliver the highly guarded message to Ruto, but at the same time said he had the responsibility bestowed on him to pray for the nation ahead of the 2022 General elections.
He also revealed that God had instructed him to pray for President Uhuru Kenyatta to steer the country in the right direction during this tough time of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Once the prophecy was delivered, Ruto left for Kisumu to embark on a 3-day visit in Raila’s backyard of Nyanza.
The former premier is a close contender for the second in command ahead of the 2022 General Election.
While in the Nyanza region, Ruto will get to visit Kisumu, Migori and Homa Bay where he is set to meet UDA leaders from the area and local politicians.
He is also expected to engage youths at the Susan Owiyo Arts Centre as he campaigns for his Bottom-up approach economic model.
