Migori Governor Okoth Obado could be headed to Musalia Mudavadi’s camp ahead of the 2022 General Election if a recent meeting is anything to go by.

Obado, who has obviously fallen out with the ODM party hosted members of the Amani National Congress (ANC) on April 26 at his Rapogi home in Migori.

Led by Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, the ANC brigade visited Obado’s home in a bid to deliberate on future political engagement with him.

This visit comes amid a disagreement between Obado and members of his party, ODM.

The fallout has prompted the second-term Governor to revamp his own party, the People Democratic Party (PDP).

Through PDP, Obado aims at taking over South Nyanza political kinpinship, an issue that has been seen as a threat to Raila Odinga.

In addition, the Migori County boss has the support of Luo elders from the region and a number of retired politicians.

Obado’s actions are said to have been influenced by a disagreement between him and Raila Odinga’s party.

He has accused ODM of being the mastermind of the tribulations that have faced him in his second term as Migori Governor.

He refers to a corruption case that is facing him together with his children.

The case has threatened Obado’s position, with a section of MCAs plotting his impeachment motion.
