Miguna Miguna: Cyrus Jirongo is more corrupt than Mudavadi and Ruto combined

by Amos Khaemba

Outspoken lawyer, Miguna Miguna has lashed out at former MP Cyrus Jirongo for detailing Deputy President William Ruto and Musalia Mudavadi’s alleged corrupt deals, saying he is the last person to accuse anyone of corruption.

Taking to social media Miguna accused the former Lugari legislator of economically robbing Kenyans by printing the famous Ksh 500 notes in the early ’90s.

“Corruption is Cyrus Jirongo‘s first name. He is filthier than a pit latrine. He robbed Kenyans dry in the 1990s. Printed Ksh 500 notes like a tabloid,” Miguna described Jirongo on Twitter.

“Jirongo has been looting Kenyan’s public coffers for as long as I have been alive in order to feed his primitive appetite,” he added.

Miguna sensationally claimed that Jirongo, a self-declared polygamist, was stealing government resources so as to maintain his huge family.

Jirongo had during a rally in Kitui on January 26, termed the union of DP Ruto and Mudavdi as a partnership of corrupt people.

“You can’t sit with a fellow corrupt leader and lecture Kenyans on corruption. That is embarrassing,” Jirongo said in Kitui in reference to Musalia Mudavadi’s ‘earthquake’ event last weekend where he invited Deputy President William Ruto.

Cyrus Jirongo, once a presidential candidate, is not new to controversy, for the last decade, he has been a friend of the court battling corruption cases from his past dealings.

One of the most recent court cases relates to his dealing with the collapsed Postbank Credit Ltd and a 1,000-acre piece of land in Ruai valued at Ksh 10 billion.

The controversial politician was at one point declared bankrupt for failing to service his debt amounting to Ksh 700 million.
