Miguna Miguna claims Raila hates intelligent people around him

by Nderi Caren
ODM leader Raila Odinga on Thursday, January 25, dropped the clearest hint that he would vie for presidency in the 2027 General Election.

Exiled Kenyan Lawyer, Miguna Miguna has thrown his weight behind Rarieda Mp Otiende Amollo after his expulsion from the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee (JLAC).

He blamed ODM leader Raila Odinga for the predicaments that have faced the Member of Parliament.

Miguna, who is a strong critic of Odinga claimed that the former Prime Minister hates having intelligent people around him.

According to the lawyer, a dean at the Nairobi University law school, once warned him against defending Odinga during the 2007 elections petition.

“A message to Otiende Amolo: In December 2007 as I battled Samuel Kivuitu, PNU and other electoral thieves in Nairobi, the then Dean of the Faculty of Law at UoN called me to his office and said, “Miguna, why are you helping RailaOdinga ? The man hates intelligent people,” he wrote on his Twitter page.

As if the warning from the law professor in 2007 was not enough, Miguna once again suffered victim of Raila’s betrayal after the 2017 General Election.

He was among the lawyers who administere an illegal oath of office to Raila Odinga, declaring him the people’s president.

The January 30, 2018 swearing-in ceremony held at Uhuru park turned out to be a nightmare for Miguna as it led to his deportation to Canada.

Efforts by the lawyer to return to his ancestral home have since been futile as the government has failed to facilitate his return despite several court orders to the same effect.

Miguna’s advice to Otiende comes just a day after he was ousted from the legal affairs committee over allegations of insubordination to ODM.

Kivumbi.co.ke has learned that Siaya Senator James Orengo could also face the axe after fallout with Raila over the legality of 70 constituencies introduced in the BBI.
