Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has warned the Jubilee party against plans to kick out Ruto from the ruling party registry.

According to Omanga, the plan by her party to remove Deputy President William Ruto, who is its deputy party leader will not succeed.

“In as much as this will fail, I advise Jubilee not to dare the deputy president. Don’t dare!” Millicent Omanga wrote in a tweet.

She was reacting to a report on a plan to kick out Ruto from the Jubilee Party on grounds of disloyalty to the party and disobedience.

On Monday, September 6, Jubilee Party’s National Management Committee(NMC) held a meeting and agreed to cut ties with DP William Ruto.

The party resolved to write a letter to the registrar of political parties, to show the course of their plan to kick out Ruto from Jubilee.

While revealing the plan, National Assembly Majority leader Amos Kimunya said Ruto has been disloyal by supporting the interests of another political party, the United Democratic Alliance(UDA).

“The political parties act is very clear, when you belong to one party, you can not promote the interests of another political party. You are deemed to have resigned from the first party,” said Kimunya.

The party reached the decision to kick out Ruto after calls on him to resign voluntarily fell on deaf ears.

“I would like to appeal to my brothers here who are asking the Deputy President to resign, please don’t waste your breath, he will not resign. He is not that type of person, we know him. Let us concentrate on 2022,” Tuju said.

If successfully expelled, Ruto will join a long list of his political allies who had been kicked out of Jubilee Party over disciplinary concerns.

These include Nominated Senators Millicent Omanga, Isaac Mwaura, Mary Seneta, Falhada Dekow, Naomi Waqo and the late Victor Prengei.
