Moses Kuria asks police to arrest politician who claimed Ruto tried to kill President Uhuru

by Amos Khaemba

The Chama Cha Kazi party leader Moses Kuria has requested the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to arrest Stanely Livondo over his claims that the Deputy President attempted to kill President Uhuru.

Taking to his social media accounts on Sunday, February 19, Kuria termed the remarks by Stanely Livondo as reckless.

“As the convenor of the thanksgiving prayer meeting in Thika, I may not be responsible for what the speakers said but it was my meeting and I take responsibility.

“I have today requested DCI boss George Kinoti to arrest Stanely Livondo following his reckless statement,” Kuria wrote on Twitter.

Political activist, Stanley Livondo had indirectly alleged that Deputy President William Ruto attempted to assassinate President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking in Thika on Saturday, February 19, during the thanksgiving ceremony of Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Livondo claimed that a senior ranking government official tried to crash aircraft carrying President Uhuru on two different occasions.

The former Lang’ata parliamentary aspirant claimed that President Uhuru broke ranks with the unnamed government official following the attempts on his life.

“If your friend who is so close to you like a brother attempts to crash a plane that you are on board more than twice, will you forgive him?

“In the first instance, President Uhuru was flying from Kisumu to Nairobi while on the second attempt he was headed to the United States through Dubai. The plane was forced to divert to Kenya because of the botched attempt to crash his plane,” Livondo said.
