Moses Kuria believes Raila will betray Uhuru, Kalonzo if elected president

Moses Kuria has claimed that Raila Odinga will not honor the coalition agreement signed with President Uhuru and Kalonzo Musyoka.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has claimed that the ODM leader Raila Odinga will not honor the coalition agreement signed with President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 9, the outspoken lawmaker said there was no way the ODM leader would settle for a small share of the government yet he has struggled for many years to get to power.

According to Kuria’s post, President Uhuru will be allocated a 40 % share of the government, while ODM and Wiper have been allocated 30 % each in the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition power-sharing deal.

But according to the Gatundu legislature, Raila will betray President Uhuru and Kalonzo if he wins the August elections.

“In the unlikely event Raila becomes President, he will do Uhuru Kenyatta a good one. So Uhuru thinks he will get 40% of government and Kalonzo 30% and Raila is left to share 30% among his ODM base after fighting for 60 years to be President between himself and his father? Hata Baba hapangwingwi” Kuria wrote on Facebook.

Kuria’s claim was based on his allegation that the ODM boss helped Congo’s President, Felix Tshisekedi in 2019.

“It was Raila Odinga who chartered a plane to DRC to coach Felix Tshisekedi on how to fix Joseph Kabila who thought Tshisekedi was his project,” Kuria alleged.

Sentiments by Kuria come a few days after a section of parties within the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition expressed displeasure in the secrecy of the actual document pertaining to the coalition.

On April 6, a faction led by Machakos Governor, Alfred Mutua, threatened to quit the Azimio coalition if their new set of demands are not met.

“We must be listened to in order to fully join them. It must be known that time is running out but we still have options that we can invoke anytime,” Mutua said.
