Moses Kuria denies being President Uhuru’s mole in Ruto’s party

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has dismissed reports that he is President Uhuru Kenyatta’s mole in UDA party.

Kuria told off those pointing an accusing finger at him, saying he has been the reason for the success of the United Democratic Alliance(UDA), which is associated with Deputy President William Ruto.

Speaking in Murang’a county on August 24, Moses Kuria asked his accusers why he would hold briefs for President Uhuru, who is not interested in the 2022 race.

“I am not going to stand here and allow someone to accuse me of being part of deep state (shadowy state characters believed to run the political show from the background). President Uhuru Kenyatta pronounced that he’s going home,

“So how can I be a deep state for someone who is going home? Let us change the conversation,” Kuria responded to claims of being President Uhuru’s mole in UDA.

According to Kuria, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua praised him after he delivered the Juja and Kiambaa parliamentary seat, and now he is accusing him of being President Uhuru’s mole in UDA.

“They were there praising my victory as one for the hustler nation, I don’t know when this changed and when I became a criminal or an outcast for (Nderitu) Gachagua to go all over blasting me because I have a party,” he said.

The relationship between Moses Kuria and other members of Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA has deteriorated since he began advocating for a party for the Mt Kenya region.

The Gatundu MP has not only crossed  Mathira MP’s paths, but also the likes of Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata.

The Gatundu South legislator has however been categorical in his demand for a Mt Kenya party, stating that his presidential vote is still preserved for DP Ruto.

“I think it is unfair. It is the first time, in 30 years, we have agreed that we are not going to have someone on top of the ticket from this region,
“Now we agree to that and you want to deny us the chance of having a party? It is unfair, unacceptable,” Moses Kuria said.
