Moses Kuria reveals why he’s no longer working closely with William Ruto

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has revealed why he stopped working closely with Deputy President William Ruto.

In an interview on Citizen TV on Sunday, November 7, Kuria said that he differed with William Ruto on party issues.

This, he said, has made it difficult for them to work together even though he still considers him a good friend.

The legislator said that he has sacrificed enough from William Ruto, and their friendship has cost him a fortune.

“William Ruto is my friend, we have suffered together. Do you know I was removed as vice-chair of the National Assembly’s Transport committee because of my association with Ruto?” he said.
Kuria revealed he has no problem working closely with William Ruto, but that can not happen if the former do not bow down to his demand on political parties.

“I hope for an opportunity to work with him (Deputy President) in the future. I am not boarding in terms of folding parties. It has been tested and it failed terribly. Forming one party does not end well,” Kuria said.
The Gatundu South MP was in William Ruto’s inner circle but fell out after he was asked to fold his Chama Cha Kazi party and join UDA fully.
Moses Kuria has held his stand on having his party, saying it’s the only way the Mt Kenya region can be assured of safety.
However, he expressed his confidence in Ruto clinging to the Mt Kenya region vote, saying he is much ahead of Raila Odinga.
“In the feared and much-hyped Mt Kenya region the vote was very generous to William Ruto at 70% and no matter how much he tries I do not see Raila Odinga getting more than 30% of Mt. Kenya votes,” said Kuria.
