MP aspirant promises to be airlifting residents to visit Nairobi if he’s elected

by Enock Ndayala

An aspiring Member of Parliament for the Wajir North constituency has jokingly promised that he will be airlifting residents to the Country’s capital city if he is elected.

Amin Hassan Mohammed said building an airstrip in the constituency will be his first priority once he assumes office.

Mohammed said the airstrip would not be used to spur up the economy of the North-Eastern region but would be used to airlift locals to Nairobi so that they may share a cup of tea and talk about their problems.

“If I am elected, I will start by building an airstrip in Danaba. So that if the youths want to see their Member of Parliament I will be sending a chopper from Nairobi to bring them to me so they can share a cup of tea with their MP,” Mohammed said amid cheers from the crowd.

The aspiring legislator said top on his manifesto will be the youths and the elderly who he said have been neglected for so long.

He promised that he will ensure at least 50 youths secure employment opportunities in the United Arab Emirates every year.

“I will help to process at least fifty youths’ passports so that we may take them abroad. I will have four Personal assistants who will help me in this job,” Mohammed stated.

the youthful politician further promised to take at least six elderly locals to Islam’s holiest city, Mecca in Saudi Arabia, for the annual Hajj pilgrimage if he is elected Wajir North MP in this year’s General Election.

“I promise the senior citizens if elected I will be taking six people for the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia,” he added.
