Speaking on the floor of the house, the ODM legislator wondered why his Kikuyu counterpart is too preoccupied with Rtd. President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Mr. Speaker I want to say that my good friend Hon. Kimani Ichungwa must also tell us whether he is LGBTQ community because of his preoccupation with Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. That one is a man Buana…Don’t be preoccupied with Hon Uhuru Kenyatta,” she said.

Her remarks come at a time when the Kenya kwanza government has been accusing President William Ruto’s predecessor of the current mess of the country’s economic status.

Over the weekend, Ichungwa claimed that the former Head of State was the principal sponsor of the ongoing Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party mass protests.

The Kikuyu MP alleged that Uhuru was working behind the scenes to fund the demos orchestrated by opposition leader Raila Odinga who is protesting the current high cost of living as well as electoral injustices.

He claimed that Uhuru was still in denial and that he was finding it difficult to come to terms with President William Ruto’s 2022 victory.

However, Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni on Wednesday, March 22, exonerated former President Uhuru Kenyatta from accusations directed at him by Kenya Kwanza Alliance over ongoing Azimio La Umoja demos.

Kioni, a fierce critic of Kenya Kwnaza regime said it was time President William Ruto and his allies stop using Uhuru’s name as an excuse for their failures.

“The continued use of Uhuru as a scapegoat for all the problems that they have in this country must also stop. Their inability to govern cannot just be wished away by dragging Uhuru’s name or his family into it,” Kioni said.
