MP mocks Ruto for complaining about being dumped by Uhuru

by Nderi Caren

Nyeri Town MP Ngujiri Wambugu has taken a swipe at Deputy President William Ruto for protesting Uhuru’s decision to endorse NASA co-principals for 2022 presidency.

According to Ngujiri Wambugu, DP Ruto is to be blamed for his own predicaments as he started walking away from Jubilee party by endorsing candidates of rival parties..

“(William) Ruto asked for it. Now can he stop complaining all the time and take his medicine slowly? So this guy has been fielding candidates against the President’s (and his own) Party just to undermine Uhuru (Kenyatta), but is now acting all surprised when a paper says Uhuru might support someone else rather than him?,

“Please someone tell (William) Ruto God is ours too! In fact, he is the one who has saved us from him (Ruto) and humbled him from a proud man to a person who complains every day,” Ngujiri Wambugu wrote on his Facebook page.

Additionally, Ngujiri Wambugu who is a die-hard supporter of President Uhuru challenged the Deputy President to resign from the Jubilee party if he trully abides by the constitution.

“Ruto should not be told that Jubilee party will not die because he left. Someone should tell Ruto that his leaving Jubilee does not mean it stopped existing. He also left ODM and it is also very much alive. In fact, both parties are doing better since he left,” he said.

Ngujiri’s sentiments were sparked by a sarcastic protest by DP Ruto after President Uhuru declared that he will hand over power to one of the principals in the NASA coalition.

Ruto questioned why President Uhuru’s loyalty had changed yet the NASA coalition and its followers did not vote for him in 2017 General Election.

Uhuru broke the news on supporting NASA during a meeting with Ukambani leaders at State House on Monday, June 14.
