MP Moses Kuria on why William Ruto has Kenyans interest at heart

by Amos Khaemba

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has defended his move to support Deputy President William Ruto for the presidency, saying the DP has Kenyan interest at heart.

Speaking during an interview with NTV on Monday, March 7, the vocal lawmaker commented on DP Ruto’s manifesto, saying it is about the common man, and not for a few individuals.

When I talk to Kenya Kwanza, I deduce that my manifesto and agenda of my party are related with theirs,” Kuria said.

Chama Cha Kazi party leader warned Kenyan against electing Azimio la Umoja in the upcoming August General Election, saying the movement is not keen on the interests of Kenyans

The outspoken lawmaker ruled out working with Azimio, which is fronted by  ODM leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta saying  “ Is a platform for few individuals who have held the country hostage for years to push their selfish agenda into the next generation.”

“I do not understand what Azimio stands for. To me, the interest of the people is very important and Azimio doesn’t have that,” Kuria added.

Kuria recently announced that he is ready to work with Kenya Kwanza arguing that his agenda mirrors that of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Amani National Congress (ANC) of Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetang’ula’s Ford Kenya.

“No party can bag this alone, so we should not even have talked of one party being bigger than the rest. The question should not be about how old a party is or how many supporters it has but what it stands for, and how that will translate to better lives for Kenyans,” Kuria said concerning coalition formation ahead of August polls.
