Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday, October 26, celebrated his 62nd birthday.

Kenyans across the country took to social media to celebrate the former Head of State for his ‘outstanding performance when he was the President for 10 years’.

However, a section of Mt Kenya residents mainly those who are allied to the Jubilee Party held the celebrations at the party headquarters led by Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe.

Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday, October 26, celebrated his 62nd birthday.

Murathe made a call to the Jubilee Party leader who thanked the party members for celebrating him on his special day, as he wished them well in their endeavors.

“Hamjambo nyote mko poa? Thank you very much for your birthday wishes and for remembering me. May God bless you and protect you,” he told the excited crowd.

The residents asked the fourth Head of State to forgive them for not listening to his advice on the 2022 presidential elections.

They regretted not voting for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s preferred Presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

“Tulimkosea sana, tunaomba atusamehe ili tutembee pamoja “We wronged him a lot, we ask him to forgive us so that we could walk together),” one of the residents said.

During the 2022 presidential campaign, Uhuru seriously campaigned for his handshake partner Raila Odinga who was running for Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party.

Uhuru warned the Mt Kenya region against voting for his then deputy president William Ruto, terming him an “evil and a thief” and warning his Mt Kenya backyard against electing him.

Speaking in the Kikuyu language on his Kiambu home turf, Uhuru in July 2022 warned the region that they would live to regret it, if they elect him next week.

“You people from Mt Kenya region, if you elect Ruto, you will cry one day because the man is very evil,” Uhuru said.
