Mudavadi’s unapologetic response to Atwoli and Natembeya ‘cheerleaders’

by Enock Ndayala

ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi has hit back at COTU boss Francis Atwoli and Trans Nzoia gubernatorial aspirant George Natembeya terming them as mere cheerleaders.

This follows claims by the vocal unionist that the former Sabatia MP Musalia Mudavadi had already been abandoned by Deputy President William Ruto just weeks after forging political ties.

“He (Muthama) declared that there was no agreement. The Chairman of UDA has already thrown him out. Those are the shortcomings of begging. Where will they go now?” Atwoli chided Mudavadi.

But in a statement issued by the ANC party on Tuesday, February 1, Mudavadi said the Luhya community will not be sweet-talked to support the ODM leader Raila Odinga.

“The inconsequential Atwoli and a bevy of his inane cheerleaders must wake up to the reality of our times that the Luhya nation will never be hoodwinked again to “steal political beeps” at the lake! Never!” read the statement in part.

The Kenya Kwanza co-principal further asked the firebrand unionist to desist from insulting Mudavadi, noting that the jibes he threw at Mudavadi would not undermine the latter’s quest for the presidency.

“No amount of incessant insults and pedestrianly-sycophantic public display by the Atwoli and ilk mercenaries for hire will deter Musalia Mudavadi’s resolve to liberate the Mulelmbe nation from the political entanglement of a state project,” Mudavadi said.

Speaking in Kakamega on Monday, January 31, Natemeya said the popularity of ANC leader and his Ford Kenya counterpart is limited only to their home counties.

But Mudavadi hit back at the former Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya saying his immature political orgasm will soon be silenced.

“As for Natembeya and his adolescent-like pronouncements, be reminded that immature political orgasm will very soon be silenced by the unstoppable MDVD earthquake,” he added.
