Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has strongly downplayed reports that the recent meeting between ODM party leader Raila Odinga and KANU chairman Gideon Moi was to discuss a possible alliance.
Kivumbi.co.ke yesterday reported Baringo senator Gideon Moi and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s brother Muhoho Kenyatta paid a courtesy call to former premier Raila Odinga on Tuesday, April 13.
A day later, there were media reports the Raila and Moi discussed a possible alliance as well as how to tame Deputy President William Ruto.
In an interview with Citizen TV, the former vice president dismissed the claims and suggeste the two leaders could have been discussing dowry.
“Perhaps they (Raila, Gideon and Muhoho) were discussing dowry…maybe their children want to get married. We are pushing it too far,” and visibly agitated Mudavadi said.
It is worth noting Mudavadi is already in a political agreement with Gideon Moi, Moses Wetangula, and Kalonzo Musyoka ahead of the 2022 General Election.
Mudavadi has expressed his ambitions to battle with anyone to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta urged the One Kenya Alliance.
In the media interview, Mudavadi insisted Gideon Moi is still in One Kenya Alliance and that ‘any changes to that shall be officially communicated,’
