Musalia Mudavadi against linking up with Raila, Kalonzo again for 2022 elections

Political analyst Edward Kisiang'ani has said Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and his ANC counterpart Musalia Mudavadi should support ODM leader Raila Odinga for presidency come 2022.

ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi has dismissed any possibility of working with ODM’s Raila Odinga in the next General Election.

Mudavadi, who is a member of the One Kenya Alliance, has distanced himself from ever joining a revived National Super Alliance (NASA), as Kalonzo Musyoka and Raila Odinga hinted last week.

Speaking at a church service in Mombasa on Sunday, the former Vice President said there is a lack of trust in the doomed NASA coalition.

He said that ODM leader Raila Odinga is not a trustworthy person, hence cannot work with him again.

“I want Kenyans to know that there is lack of trust in the NASA coalition that can not be rectified. We want to move on. We formed NASA but truth be told, there is no trust, so if you want to take us back there and you can not agree that there are lies, how do you want us to trust you when you say you want a coalition?” Mudavadi posed.

The fall of the NASA coalition was witnessed when ODM leader Raila Odinga had a handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2018 without the knowledge of his other three co-principals – Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Wycliffe Mudavadi.

After the handshake, ODM went ahead to break its deal with ANC, Wiper and FORD Kenya by orchestrating the removal of their party members in various parliamentary positions.

However, Mudavadi’s message to Raila came after the latter revealed his plans to form a coalition with Kalonzo Musyoka in 2022.

During the burial of former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndilre, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu called on Raila and Kalonzo to unite so as to give DP Ruto zero chances in the 2022 presidential election.

Raila heeded to the calls, promising to work with Kalonzo

“Kalanzo and I can not fall apart. We will persevere with each other. We will stand together so we can remove these thieves – wolves in sheep skin- cheating Kenyans,” he said.
