Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress (ANC) has kickstarted a process to discipline its 15 defiant party members.

According to party National Chairman Kelvin Lunani, the 15 Ward representatives from Vihiga County are accused of going against party position to impeach four County Executives.

“ANC has instructed its Vihiga branch office to launch disciplinary actions against 15 ward reps who defied a directive advising them not to take part in the impeachment of four county executives,” he said.

ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi had last week warned the 15 not to impeach Pamela Kimwele (Public Service), Amos Kutwa (Health), Paul Mbuni (Lands) and Kenneth Keseko (Trade). Photo: Capital.

ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi had last week warned the 15 not to impeach Pamela Kimwele (Public Service), Amos Kutwa (Health), Paul Mbuni (Lands) and Kenneth Keseko (Trade).

According to ANC national management, impeaching the four-county executives would taint ward reps who form the majority in the county assembly.

Top on the party’s disciplinary plan is nominated MCA Stanley Kasiera who doubles up as the Majority Whip.

Kasiera is accused of moving two out of the four impeachment motions that saw the county executives being impeached whereas the other MCAs were found guilty of voting in support of the impeachment.

The four county executives were ousted on Thursday, May 27, on claims of abuse of office, incompetence and gross misconduct.

Kivumbi.co.ke understands that its not only in ANC party where the rebels are on spot for defying party position.

Last week, Raila’s ODM party announced plans to kick out at least seven rebel members who acted against the party’s wish despite being warned.
