On Monday, October 3, Uganda President Yoweri Museveni’s son Muhoozi Kainerugaba shocked Kenyans with his cryptic war tweets.

“It wouldn’t take us, my army and me, 2 weeks to capture Nairobi,” he said eliciting sharp reactions on social media.

As such, Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei, now wants the Uganda State House to apologize to Kenya over disturbing tweets by Muhoozi Kaneirugaba.

In a statement, the lawmaker said the sensational statements made by President Yoweri Museveni’s first borne son were a threat to the unity of the East Africa Community.

Cherargei, a close ally of Kenya’s President William Ruto further asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to summon Uganda’s ambassador to Kenya

“I expect by morning the ministry of foreign affairs to summon Ugandan ambassador to shed light on Gen. Muhoozi’s social media outbursts and subsequent apology. This is undermining the spirit of unity of EAC,” he said.

Cheragei’s remarks come at a time when Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni’s military son Muhoozi Kainerubaga had already issued his personal apologies saying he has already forgiven Kenyans after Twitter spat.

While regretting his tweets, Kainerugaba said his tweets could trigger a diplomatic tiff between the two East African nations pleading with Kenyans to work together to make the bloc great.

“KOT, I forgive you all for the insults you have hurled against me. But, please let’s work together to make East Africa great!!!” Muhoozi said in a Tweet.
