Nelson Havi says Raila only takes 2 minutes with guests but Ruto is a good listener

by Amos Khaemba

Westlands parliamentary aspirant on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket Nelson Havi has alleged that the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition party presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga is a poor listener, saying he only takes 2 minutes with his guests.

In a tweet on Sunday, May 22, 2022, Havi said that the former prime minister hardly keeps time and that When he comes he doesn’t give the visitor enough time.

“I have worked with both Raila Odinga and William Ruto. You will wait for Baba for 2 hours and listen to him speak to you in 2 minutes.” Havi said on Twitter.

On the hand, the former Law Society of Kenya president opined that the Kenya Kwanza alliance flag bearer William Ruto is a good timekeeper who gives maximum attention to his visitors.

“Ruto will be waiting for you at the appointed time and listen to you for 30 minutes. Who between the two would you work with?” Havi said while giving reasons on why he supports DP Ruto.

In a quick rejoinder, Silas Jakakimba a close aide to the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition party flag bearer remained Havi that there is nothing wrong in waiting for two hours as there is tea served for visitors.

“The decision to arrive 2 hours to your appointment a Principal of Mr. Odinga’s standing, is personal to the person who sought it. This is why there are numerous waiting lounges and a lot of tea for tea-lovers who opt to arrive 2 hours ahead of their appointments.” Jakakimba replied.

Raila’s side further defended the former prime minister for giving his visitors like time, saying the 2022 presidential front runner is a busy man hence any time one gets is sufficient.

“A pedigree principal with a globally busy schedule must always get proper briefs about and ahead of any appointment, once he grants it in his Diary. This makes it easy to execute an audience within the timed window. This lesson is free & does not attract any fees.” Jakakimba opined
