A United Democratic Alliance (UDA) supporter has offered to show Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua where he can get nice, fitting suits to improve his image that has been a subject of discussion since being picked as Wiliam Ruto’s running mate.
In a letter dated Thursday, May 19, and addressed to the vocal legislator, the unidentified UDA supporter offered to design nice and fitting suits that would be fitting a person of the deputy president’s nominee status.
“Good morning my next deputy president. It has come to my attention that some people are making fun of your suits. Being your adamant supporter, I wish to convey a secret,” read the letter in part.
In what appeared to entice the billionaire politician to fall for his trap, the man said that the fitting suits were just going at a pocket-friendly price but the results are amazing.
“I know a place we can get slim fit suits. They are not expensive. Ni place ya ma hustler ung’ara washangae kwani unaapishwa kesho,” the letter read.
Earlier, Kivumbi.co.ke had reported that Gachagua became a subject of discussion across social media platforms over his dressing code.
During a Kenya Kwanza function on Sunday, May 15, when DP William Ruto was unveiling Gachagua as his running mate, Kenyans on social media noticed how unstylish the Mathira MP was due to the seemingly oversized suit he was wearing.
Gachagua’s outfits attracted a barrage of criticism from netizens who questioned the competence of his designer.
“Before replacing Rigathi, Kenya Kwanza should replace his wardrobe… He looks more like a village elder than a DP candidate,” a social media user suggested.
“Kenya Kwisha must move with speed to get Rigathi Gachagua a new tailor… We can’t have a DP UNpotential in oversized suits!” Another user wrote.
