Nigerian evangelist says William Ruto will be Kenya’s next president

by Enock Ndayala
In September 2022, President William Ruto appointed his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta as his peace envoy for the Great Lakes Region and the Horn of Africa.

A renowned Nigerian televangelist has claimed that Deputy President William Ruto will beat ODM leader Raila Odinga in the August 9 elections to become Kenya’s next president.

In his ‘prophetic message’ posted on Youtube, Pastor Johnson Suleman without mentioning names said Ruto who has bitterly fallen out with his boss would succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Your elections were this year. I was praying and the Lord told me the stone that builders rejected,” he explained, in reference to the Deputy President’s fallout with President Kenyatta.

During his sermon where he is seen preaching with a Kenyan flag wrapped around his shoulders, the televangelist described Kenya as a great nation calling for peace before, during, and after the much-awaited General Election.

Apostle Suleman describes himself as a senior pastor and general overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International church whose headquarters are in Auchi, Edo State in Nigeria.

After working as an assistant pastor in the Armor of God Church in Lagos from 1998, the 50-year-old televangelist started Omega Fire Ministries in 2004.

Last year, Apostle Damaris Mumbi in her prophetic message advised the UDA presidential flag bearer to nominate a female running mate in this year’s presidential elections.

She said that William Ruto shall have a very smooth reign as president only if he has a female as the deputy president.

“The Holy Spirit told me that for William Ruto to rule (as president) in peace without any problems he needs a woman Deputy President,” she said.

Last month, the head of state-endorsed his handshake partner Raila Odinga after his relationship deteriorated beyond irreversible levels.

“An old man on a stool sees further than a boy on a tree. Let me stick with the old man (Raila) who I can talk to,” President Uhuru said during a meeting with Mt Kenya at Sagana III.
