Deputy President William Ruto has once again fired shots at his boss following a series of remarks made by the Head of State ealier in the week.

President Uhuru has in the recent past continued his occasional onslaught on the UDA presidential candidate William Ruto terming him a liar and hence unfit to succeed him.

“Unaniongelea nini? (Why are you talking about me?) Mr. President, please stop talking about me. Talk about your (preferred) candidate …Wachana na William Ruto (leave William Ruto alone).”

The second in command asked the Head of State to instead focus on his retirement which is due in less than two weeks.

He further asked him to concentrate on selling Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition party presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

“Just campaign for your Kitendawili candidate,” Ruto said in reference to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

“If you do not want to support me, leave me alone. I supported you when you wanted a man to support you. Hata kama umenifanya yale mambo umenifanya, mimi sitakuwa na maneno na wewe,

While calling out his boss over the alleged threats meted out by opponents of the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition party, the former Agriculture Minister asked his boss to focus on securing the country ahead of the political transition.

“You (President Uhuru) shouldn’t be the source of threats in Kenya… kazi yako ni kuhakikisha ya kwamba Wakenya wote wako salama; wacha kututisha, sisi sio watu wa kutishwa,( your work is to ensure that all Kenyans are safe; stop threatening us, we are not corwards),” said Ruto.

The former Agriculture Minister further asked the outgoing Head of State to let him face his competitor Raila Odinga.

“If you do not want to support me, leave me alone. With a lot of respect, Mr President be a decent Human being,
