One Kenya Alliance rules out deal with Raila, Ruto before 2022

by Enock Ndayala

The One Kenya Alliance (OKA) has ruled out possibilities of working with presidential front runners William Ruto and Raila Odinga ahead of next year’s General Election.

Speaking at St Mark’s AIPCA church on Sunday, November 21, OKA principals Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Gideon Moi (KANU), and Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) termed as far-fetched media reports that the coalition was Keen to work with other presidential hopefuls.

Kalonzo accused some of the media outlets of being used by dark forces to peddle lies something he said was weakening the alliance ahead of the 2022 elections.

“No one is hunting us so that we can join them, but the truth is that we are the ones who want them to join us,” said Kalonzo Musyoka.

While calling on OKA supporters from across the country to shun politics of lies peddled by their competitors, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi said OKA will not be coerced to support any other candidate out of the coalition.

“I urge Kenyans of goodwill not to accept politics of lies and intimidation. I seek your support and together, we shall end corruption, build a vibrant economy, create jobs and put a smile on every Kenyans face,” Mudavadi said.

In what appeared to be a vehicle attack on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s handshake partner, Mudavadi said Raila Odinga sponsored the recent TIFA polls that placed him at 3 percent popularity ahead of next year’s polls.

“Those polls are sponsored by the same politicians who want to lie to the country that they are leading,” he said.
This comes at a time when a section of political leaders and analysts have been calling on the OKA principals to unite and form a formidable team that would easily win the 2022 presidential election.

Yesterday, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala claimed that Raila has been calling former vice president Musalia Mudavadi at night to convince him to support his Azimio la Umoja.
