Uganda President Yoweri Museveni has promised to sell fuel prices to neighboring counties, especially the Western Kenya region.

Deputy President William Ruto ally who is also Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar Sudi has claimed the deputy president was not only blocked from traveling to Uganda but also Tanzania.

In a press conference at his home on Wednesday, August 4, Oscar Sudi said before going to Uganda, Ruto was to travel to Tanzania but was blocked at the airport.

“We had a trip to Tanzania, and it was blocked. When we asked, we were told to question the Kenyan State House. We aborted that mission and decided to head to Uganda,” Ruto ally said.

Ruto ally mentioned that the whole plan was orchestrated by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’I, who was acting on orders from above.

Oscar Sudi pointed an accusing finger at President Uhuru’s administration, accusing it of humiliating the deputy president William Ruto.

The MP said that the whole plan of blocking Ruto from flying to Tanzania and Uganda was orchestrated by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, who was acting on orders from above.

In an interview on Inooro TV, Ruto wondered why the government is now putting restrictions on him yet he has been traveling freely for the past 9 years.

“Which law is this that has just been implemented? It is just a requirement to try and put me in a compromising position with people with whom I have no time. I leave them to God,” Ruto said.

After a lot of speculations on the reason for his travel to Uganda, Ruto said it was for his personal businesses, and due to his relationship with Uganda President Yoweri Museveni.

He wondered why other leaders were criticising his relationship with Museveni, yet they are also close to the Uganda strongman.

“Uganda President Yoweri Museveni is a friend to the President, he is my friend. I have been to Uganda for his campaigns,

“Even these NASA principals have campaigned for him because of the relationship between Kenya and Uganda. Why is it ok for him to be their friend and not mine?” Ruto posed.
