Political analyst explains why William Ruto can support Raila Odinga

by Nderi Caren

Political analyst Herman Manyora has predicted a political scenario where Deputy President William Ruto will support Raila Odinga.

In his explanation, Herman Manyora says that other presidential aspirants including Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Gideon Moi might support Raila Odinga.

He says that the presidential hopefuls might decide to work together for the sake of maintaining a peaceful General Election.

“It is possible that in the interests of this country Ruto agrees to work with Raila and Uhuru Kenyatta supports them,” he said.

The political analyst explained that if the two parties work together, it will not only be a free and fair election, but also a peaceful one.

“The future of our children and grandchildren in 2017/2018 was in the hands of Raila Odinga and President Uhuru. It disturbs me when I see people rubbishing the handshake. This country would have gone to the dogs,” he said.

Herman Manyora further called on Raila, Ruto, and Uhuru to engage in dialogue before the 2022 polls.

“I want to invite Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta to sit down with William Ruto. I am thinking these 3 gentlemen should be aware that whether there will be Kenya tomorrow is in their hands,” he said.

His calls for dialogue follow similar requests by the clergy, who asked Uhuru and Ruto to iron out their differences for the sake of peace.

After the calls, William Ruto said that he is ready to reconcile with President Uhuru unconditionally.

I’m ready. The clergy has said that it wants to unite me and the president. I’m ready without any condition. “Without condition, any moment because we were both elected by Kenyans and they gave us mandate to run this government,” Ruto said.

He accused Raila Odinga of inciting President Uhuru Kenyatta against him.
