The house of Jubilee party-leaning political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi went up in flames on the night of June 14 with the cause of the fire remaining unknown.
The mansion that is situated in Nairobi’s upmarket estate, Runda has been standing tall for the last 27 years, Mutahi Ngunyi said.
The political analyst announced the news on his Twitter page while blaming the same on his political enemies, especially those on William Ruto’s side.
“My Friend Dennis Itumbi, my house in Runda for 27 years went on fire at 1.45 am. You told the hustlers at 2.01 am. About 16 minutes later. That is after I talked about Kiambaa violence of 2008 on the 5th Estate. Here is a better picture than the one you posted. Enjoy,” the Political Analyst wrote.
Mutahi Ngunyi insinuated that there are political ties to the inferno because William Ruto’s ally Dennis Itumbi was the first to break the news in the wee hours of the morning.
Being a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta, Mutahi Ngunyi yesterday reminded Ruto’s that they are unwanted guests in Kiambaa ahead of tomorrow’s by-election.
As the Kiambaa by-election campaign reached its homestretch, the political analyst said that Kikuyus are only lying to William Ruto that they support his United Democratic Alliance candidate.
For President Uhuru, this is a chance to save himself from the embarrassment that he suffered after losing the Juja by-election.
On the other hand, the July 15 by-election is Ruto’s chance to give more proof that he is more influential than President Uhuru.
