Political analyst says Gideon Moi will support Raila Odinga for 2022 Presidency

Political analyst Herman Manyora has revealed that Gideon Moi might give up his presidential ambitions and support Raila Odinga for the 2022 Presidency.

In an analysis on his YouTube channel, Herman Manyora argued that Gideon Moi was not serious while launching his presidential journey on September 30.

“Gideon Moi was not even convincing to himself, I am sure he did not even believe in the entire narrative of the day,” he said of Gideon Moi’s recent move to launch his presidential bid under Kenya’s oldest party KANU.

Herman Manyora explained how Gideon Moi avoided the mention of the One Kenya Alliance(OKA) all through his speech, meaning that he was not committed to it.

He further argued that other members of OKA; Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Moses Wetangula will also support Raila Odinga for the 2022 presidency.

“There was no OKA there, Musalia wasn’t even combative, even Kalonzo. These gentlemen are going to support Raila Odinga,” Manyora explained.

A day before Gideon Moi launched his presidential campaigns, President Uhuru Kenyatta had hinted at supporting Raila Odinga to be his successor.

“Haven’t we experienced peace after we come together with Raila Odinga? Haven’t we experienced development after the peace? Do you want the work to go on? Do you want that work to go on? The choice is yours,” Uhuru said in the presence of Raila Odinga.

This, Herman Manyora argues, is leaving the OKA principals with no choice but to support Raila Odinga’s presidency.

According to him, the 2022 fate was sealed when President Uhuru met Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Moses Wetangula at State House Mombasa.

“If Uhuru says he is backing Raila and all these gentlemen have been hoping that he will support them. What does that indicate to you? Either they have accepted to back Raila or Uhuru has said to hell with you,” he said.
