Raila ally confident the ODM leader will be rigged into State House

by Enock Ndayala

Murang’a Woman Rep Sabina Chege has sensationally claimed that ODM leader Raila Odinga will easily be rigged into State House.

Speaking during an Azimio campaign in Vihiga County, Chege, an ardent supporter of President Uhuru Kenyatta and the former prime minister said Raila can be rigged into State House just like he was rigged out in 2017.

“In Central, I have heard them saying that we stole the elections. There is some truth in that. They should know that if we knew how to rig in the previous elections, what makes you think we will not do something,” Sabina posed.

The outspoken legislator, who has since developed a soft spot for the Azimio faction, on Thursday, February 10, was responding to claims by Elgeyo Mrakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen that Raila believes President Uhuru will help him steal votes in the 2022 presidential election.

According to Murkomen, the famous March 2018 handshake between Uhuru and Raila brainwashed Jubilee party allies to believe that indeed the Head of State stole votes from Raila Odinga in the 2017 elections; something that Raila thinks will favor him in the 2022 presidential elections.

“Handshake brainwashed Jubilee party to believe that indeed Uhuru Kenyatta stole votes from Raila Odinga and ODM. The tragedy is that Raila Odinga now believes that Uhuru will steal votes for him in August,” Murkomen said.

But speaking in Trans Nzoia on Monday, January 3, the deputy president assured his supporters that his victory shall not be stolen should he win the highly anticipated August 9, presidential elections.

Ruto said the so-called ‘Deep State’ will fail just like it failed in the Kiambaa parliamentary election in which UDA candidate Njuguna Wanjiku won.

“Mkiona nakaa mtu wa kunyang’anywa kura kweli? If we won against the handshake team and the deep state and system in Msambweni, Juja, and Kiambaa (by-elections) then who are they to think they can rig us out if they can’t win an MP seat? That’s daydreaming. We will beat them on August 9 and there’s nothing they can do,” William Ruto said.
