ODM leader Raila Odinga has asked Kenyans to be cautious of Deputy President William Ruto and his allies adding that he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Speaking in Homa Bay on Thursday, December 23, the former Prime Minister said the deputy president is sweet-talking Kenyans to elect him when he does not merit leadership.

“Mimi nimejaribu sana kutahadharisha Wakenya. Kuna yule fisi ambaye amejivisha nguo ya kondoo, anajifanya ni kondoo. Sasa siku hizi hatoi sauti kama ya fisi, amebadilisha ili mmfungulie mlango, akifunguliwa mlango kutakuwa na shida,

“There is a hyena dressed in sheepskin. These days he goes to church every Saturday and Sunday and cries like a sheep so the door can be opened for him. I tell you this is a hyena and should not come close to you,” Raila said in an indirect attack at Deputy President William Ruto.

The ODM leader, who visited the home of his friend Erastus Okul at Komolo Lwala in Central Karachuonyo ward for Christmas criticized William Ruto’s bottom-up agenda urging Kenyans not to buy into the lies being propagated by the deputy president.

“There are people who are opposed to our Azimio La Umoja initiative because they are promoting a bottom-up approach. They deceive Kenyans by saying chini juu ati  (bottom-up). They lack direction and are unaware of where they are heading and where they have come from,” Raila said.

While advocating for his Azimio la Umoja initiative as the best vehicle to unite all Kenyans, Raila pocked holes at his 2022 main challenger saying he is responsible for advocating hatred.

“They accused our supporters of vandalizing a railway line in Kibra, yet they are the ones who hurt Kenyans. We don’t want people who seek votes through perpetrating hatred. We don’t want to go back to 2007,” he said.
