Raila Odinga: How President Ruto stole August 9, presidential elections

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Presidential Party candidate Raila Odinga last month insisted that the search for the truth about the August 9, presidential elections was still on.

“For us we know we never lost the election. The jury is still out, watch this space,” Raila who was addressing members of the press in Nairobi said.

On Sunday, December 4, the former Prime Minister who was speaking when drumming up support for Utawala’s Ward rep candidate Patrick Karani at Familia, revealed that his coalition has completed an audit of the August 9, presidential results.

He said the audit showed that the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party won the hotly contested polls adding that he will tell Kenyans on how his votes were stolen.

“We have done an audit and have established how our votes were stolen and the number of the stolen votes. We shall reveal it all on Wednesday, December 7,” Raila said.

Raila who is known for unmasking government secrets further urged his supporters to turn out in large numbers for his Kamukunji rally on Wednesday, December 7.

He promised his supporters that he will unveil step-by-step on how IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati and President Ruto stole the presidential votes.

The former Prime Minister who was accompanied by Embakai East MP Babu Owino, and Vihiga Senator Godfrey Ososti among other opposition leaders further threatened to reveal the people who helped William Ruto to rig the presidential votes.

“We know what they did, how they did it, and who helped them do it. We shall reveal all that shortly. Our meeting this coming Wednesday will proceed as planned,” Raila added.

According to official results declared by IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati on Monday, August 15, William Ruto garnered 7.1 million votes against Raila’s 6.1 million votes.
