Raila Odinga: I am ready to die for Kenyans

by Enock Ndayala

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna on Thursday, March 16, sensationally claimed that the Kenya Kwanza government was after eliminating members of the opposition.

Sifuna who was addressing journalists at the Parliament buildings read malice in Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s remarks that he has the final solution to Raila Odinga in relation to the planned Monday, March 20, mass protests.

“We have confirmed that the Kenya Kwanza administration is a regime built on the elimination of political opponents,” the ODM Secretary-General said.

But on Thursday, March 16, the opposition leader said he was ready to die for Kenyans.

Speaking in Nakuru ahead of his grand march to State House on Monday, March 20, the former Prime Minister said he was not afraid of being assassinated.

The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leader made it clear that he better be killed while liberating the country rather than remain alive and watch as the nation is being destroyed.

“You can assassinate Raila Odinga physically, but you can never assassinate his ideas. I am prepared to pay the ultimate price that will be liberating the people of Kenya,” Raila Odinga said.

Raila who unsuccessfully vied for the 2022 presidential election is protesting to reclaim his stolen supreme power after the August 2022 Presidential poll.

He says he was the rightful winner, even though the Supreme Court ruled that Ruto won.

This comes after the lapse of the 14-day ultimatum, which the veteran politician had issued to President Ruto to address the cost of living, open the 2022 presidential election servers and stop the process of appointing new members of the electoral agency, IEBC.
