Raila Odinga’s nephew blasts Wetang’ula for claiming he carried Raila on his shoulders

by Enock Ndayala

ODM leader Raila Odinga’s nephew Jaoko Oburu has condemned Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula for describing Raila as a heavy burden to support politically.

“Sisi tulibeba huyu mzee wa kitendawili. 2013 alinikalia kwa mabega tukizunguka , 2017 tulibeba yeye. Sisi ndio tumebebana na huyo mzee nan i mzigo mzito,

Loosely translated to “We carried this old man. In 2013, he sat on my shoulders as we walked around, 2017 we carried him. We are the ones who have borne the burden of the old man(rraila Odinga),” Mudavadi said.

But the Siaya County CEC in Charge of Roads, Public Works fired salvos at the Bungoma Senator saying Wetang’ula has no political muscles to support the former prime minister.

Oburu who recently pulled out of the Lang’ata parliamentary seat race said the Kenya Kwanza co-principal cannot even hold a political rally that will attract more than 50 people.

“Wetang’ula has the nerve to claim that he carried Raila Odinga on his shoulder. Hilarious! Weta (ngula) can’t hold a rally of more than 50 people and he is chest-thumping. August 9 2022 he will be humbled,” Oburu said in a Tweet seen by Kivumbi.co.ke.

Oburu who is also the Chairman of Youth for The Handshake Alliance (TOTHA)  had expressed his interest to challange Lang’ata MP Nixon Korir, revealed that he opted out of the race to focus on helping his uncle and former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, clinch the presidency in the August 9 elections.

“At this point, however, I am focused on helping Baba (Raila Odinga) to become the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya,” Jaoko said on Thursday, January 20,

“I appreciate all the encouragement for me to throw my hat into the ring for the Lang’ata parliamentary seat,” he said.
