Political fanatic Nuru Okanga has warned opposition leader Raila Odinga against associating himself with President William Ruto.

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leader Raila Odinga has maintained that he is not interested in any form of handshake with President William Ruto.

Addressing the press on Thursday, March 23, at his Capitol Hill office in Nairobi, the former prime minister accused insisted that President William Ruto is illegitimate.

He termed as rumors the allegations by a section of Kenya Kwanza allies were looking for a handshake with his arc-rival William Ruto.

“Kenya Kwanza has continued to claim that all we are looking for is a handshake. We emphatically refute this unfounded rumor,” Raila said.

The former Prime Minister further observed that it is an insult to Kenyans when Kenya Kwanza spoke about a handshake with Azimio.

“This is an insult to the intelligence of Kenyans. We will not participate in a handshake with an illegitimate regime,” he added.

Raila was reacting to State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed who on Thursday, March 22, revealed that the president is open for talks with the opposition boss but under the rudiments of the law and constitution.

“There is the president and there is one side that is in the opposition. There are channels through which the opposition can engage the presidency and the executive through parliament and through committees of parliament.

The former Citizen TV journalist who spoke in Kisii over President William Ruto’s three-day official State visit to the Nyanza region said the truce between Uhuru and Ruto will only take place under the rudiments of the law and constitution.

“Whatever is happening, the president will operate under the constitution and he expects that any Kenyan operates under the rule of law. Other than that, of course, it’s allowing impunity,” said Hussein.
