Raila’s allies have sworn to work round the clock to make sure DP William Ruto does not become the president in 2022.

Speaking during a burial in Siaya on August 7, Raila’s allies said they have prepared their political strategies, and are confident that the ODM leader will succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli told the mourners that he is ready to marshal support for Raila Odinga to ensure DP Ruto doesn’t clinch the presidency.

“We will stop him. We cannot gamble with politics. You cannot tell people to embrace wheelbarrows,” Francis Atwoli said.

On the other hand, Siaya Senator James Orengo warned Kenyans against settling for William Ruto, terming it as a risky move.

“The DP can say anything but he will not be the president of this country,” Senator James Orengo.

The ODM leader himself has warned Ruto of a political Tsunami that will shutter his presidential ambitions.

By a political Tsunami, Raila Odinga refers to a coalition that will face William Ruto in the 2022 presidential race.

During a meeting with Mt. Kenya leaders at Ndakaini on July 27, Raila promised to take his campaigns to every part of the country, and form a strong alliance.

“Something serious has been brewed here at S.K. Macharia’s place. A new dawn is here. Recently, I said something huge [Tsunami] would come, and some people doubted,

That something huge, I can confidently say, is being crafted here. A quest to unite Kenya continues after the March 9, 2018 handshake,” said the ODM leader.

With the promise of a political Tsunami, Raila Odinga is eyeing a political coalition with the One Kenya Alliance members.
