Raila’s chief agent blames ex-president Uhuru’s brother for Azimio’s loss to William Ruto

Allies of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga continue to point accusing fingers at each other following the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party loss to William Ruto.

Apart from blame games from Azimio’s inner circles, Raila’s last-born daughter Winnie Odinga blamed the United States of America for bungling the hotly contested 2022 presidential election.

In what appears to put to rest this topic, opposition leader Raila Odinga’s chief agent on August 9, 2022, presidential election, Saitabao Ole Kanchory, has lifted the lid on the behind-the-scenes of what caused his then boss the presidency.

Allies of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga continue to point accusing fingers at each other following the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party loss to William Ruto.

In his 139-page book now says ex-president Uhuru Kenyatta’s brother Muhoho Kenyatta is the one to blame for Raila’s devastating loss to President William Ruto.

Kanchory, in his newly released book, “Why Baba is not The 5th”, describes the coalition’s election command Centre which was under Muhoho Kenyatta, as a tower of Babel.

He says power struggles and infighting among top campaign managers from both Uhuru Kenyatta’s side and that of Raila Odinga could have cost him the top seat.

The Azimio chief agent further explained how some of Uhuru’s senior government officials remained disinterested in campaigning for Raila as they felt that they would not make it in the ODM leader’s inner circle ahead of other people who were already close to him.

“The fact that these top officials, some of whom were expected to deliver a Raila presidency, were not guaranteed a place in Raila’s government meant the campaigns and the ancillary operations, like the command centre, offered the last chance to shore up their financial standing,” reads excerpts of the 139-page book.

This is despite the fact that in one of his media interviews, ODM party leader Raila defended his campaign managers, insisting that election results were manipulated at the national tallying centre at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi.
