Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya held talks with Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as the season for political realignments in the country intensifies ahead of the 2022 General Election.

The former Vice president, on Wednesday, April 22, took to his official social media saying the duo discussed a range of national interest relevant to the One Kenya Alliance which comprise of KANU chair Gideon Moi, Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) and Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC.

Oparanya’s visit to Kalonzo comes barely days after the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) deputy party leader reportedly held several meetings with deputy president Willian Ruto over the possibility of forming a political partnership ahead of the forthcoming General Election.

Ruto in a televised interview on Thursday, April 15, said he has met Oparanya not once but five times and that Oparanya has the interests of the hustler’s nation at heart.

Earlier reports alleged that the recent meeting between Ruto and Raila’s man could have been part of a wider plan by ODM to reach out to the second in command for a possible pre-election partnership.

However, the former Eldoret North Member of Parliament refuted the claims saying the strongest opponent he has is Raila Odinga and that he is not interested in joining hands with him ahead of 2022

Oparanya’s meeting with Kalonzo comes hot on the heels of a similar meeting between Raila Odinga and KANU boss Gideon Moi after which there we reports the duo discussed possible pre election arrangements and how to stop William Ruto.

With less than 15 months to the next elections, Kenyans will surely be created to many political speculations as politicians meet to try and make plans over their political future.
