“I met her by chance last year and we started speaking about consciousness and spirituality,” Juliani disclosed.

Singer Julius Owino, popularly known by his stage name Juliani, has refuted claims that he met his wife Lilian Ng’ang’a while still married to former Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.

Speaking on Hot 96’s Uradi Show on Wednesday, September 28, the Hip Hop artist said that he was even not aware that the former Machakos First Lady was no longer in marriage.

Juliani disclosed that the 37-year-old later disclosed to him that she was not in a relationship, something that caught him by surprise.

“She would later open up about her split which caught me by surprise since I only thought that we were conversing as recently acquainted friends,” he said.

The Utawala hitmaker went ahead and disclosed that by that time, he was celibate and that he was not looking for a partner.

“I was celibate, I wasn’t looking for a partner and I was in a good place but things just turned out the way they did but all those allegations were just sad, to be honest,” he said.

Juliani and Lilian Ng’ang’a who welcomed their firstborn son earlier this month, officiated their marriage in February this year, just months after announcing that they were dating.

This was after Lilian Ng’ang’a and the then Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua announced their separation on August 15, 2021, through their social media platforms.

The two had been together for more than nine years, a time during which she acted as the official Machakos county first lady, on top of performing official duties.
