Miguna, an ally-turned fierce critic of the opposition leader said Raila was only interested in being the Luo’s kingpin adding that his sixth stab at the presidency is already predictable.

Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua has poked holes in the person of Raila Odinga, challenging those who think the Former Prime Minister to check with exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna.

According to Gachagua, ODM Party leader Raila is a traitor, and Miguna Miguna is among the people he has betrayed.

He said Miguna supported Raila through thick and thin, including the mock swearing-in ceremony but Raila never intervened with the government turned to harassing the outspoken lawyer.

“If you believe Raila Odinga is a good man, then ask Miguna Miguna. Miguna has been a true friend to Raila even in his lowest moments when the likes of Kalonzo Musyoka & Musalia Mudavadi couldn’t help, Miguna came in,

“Raila fired Miguna when he was his advisor & cheered his deportation to Canada!” Gachagua wrote in a tweet.

In January 2018, Miguna Miguna administered an oath of office to Raila Odinga at Uhuru Park during an illegal swearing-in ceremony after Raila refused to concede defeat in the 2017 presidential election.

Months later, police officers raided Miguna Miguna’s home after which he was deported to Canada in March 2018.

This happened just days after the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.

Many felt Raila Odinga could have used his friendship with President Uhuru to protect Miguna Miguna from the treatment he received then.

For this reason, Miguna Miguna has become an enemy of the ODM leader and has been writing hateful messages towards him on social media.

Even though he was on Raila Odinga’s side in the 2017 General Election, Miguna now warns Kenyans against electing his ally, turned foe.

Before working together in the run-up to the 2017 General Election, Miguna Miguna and Raila already had strained relations after the former Prime Minister fired the lawyer, who served as his personal aide in 2011.

Miguna published a book named ‘peeling back the mask’ where he exposed his former boss Raila Odinga after he was fired.
