The debate about who caused the opposition leader Raila Odinga to lose in the August 9, the presidential election is still going on three months after the election.

While Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga faulted IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati for bungling the presidential polls, his allies continue to accuse each other over the loss.

On Tuesday, December 13, Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly (MCA) Robert Alai faulted former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and his Interior counterpart Karanja Kibicho for sabotaging Raila’s 2022 presidential bid.

The debate about who caused the opposition leader Raila Odinga to lose in the August 9, the presidential election is still going on three months after the election.

Alai, in a statement on his social media pages, said Matiang’i and Kibicho did nothing to help former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to ascend to power.

He said by insisting on Jubilee Party leader Uhuru Kenyatta to be Azimio la Umoja chairman, the former powerful CS was only after securing a slot in the government that would be formed by Raila Odinga.

“Matiangi and co. sabotaged Baba when they insisted on Uhuru being the Azimio boss to secure their position “after Baba’s win.”

“Matiangi and co. did nothing to support Baba but just binge drink and prepare for how to be in Baba’s presidency. Jokers!” Alai said in a Tweet.

Earlier, the blogger had accused Raila Odinga’s 2022 presidential chief agent Saitabao Ole Kanchori of being unfit to guard Azimio la Umoja presidential votes.

Alai said the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya made a wrong choice by picking Ole Kanchori to protect Raila’s votes at the National tallying center saying that he was immature for the role.

“You were too immature for the Chief Agent role Saitabao. You can’t clean yourself from the mess when you turned into a clueless charlatan out to play the role of a bouncer in Bomas. I saved you from GSU. You were a wrong choice,” Alai said.

In the August 9, presidential election, Raila emerged second after garnering 6.9 million votes against William Ruto’s 7.1 million votes.
