Roots party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah has been touring several parts of the country to familiarize himself with his supporters.

On Wednesday, November 9, Wajackoyah, who emerged third in the August 9, presidential election toured ODM leader Raila Odinga’s Nyanza region.

The controversial politician spent the day in Kisumu’s Riat area where he engaged his supporters who were working at a construction site.

Wajackoyah who bitterly fell out with his 2022 presidential running Justina Wambui thanked his supporters for standing with him during the August 9, presidential campaign.

As a way to appreciate their efforts and input in his presidential campaigns, the politician dished out money as they lined up for the unforeseen “blessing”.

“Sharing. The young men and women volunteered and supported me during the campaign. I found them doing their hustle in Kogony Kisumu County. I promised to find them employment,” Wajackoyah said.

According to the official presidential results announced by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati, Wajackoyah garnered 61,969 votes.

While Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party presidential candidate Raila Odinga disputed the results announced by Chebukati, Wajackoyah came out to congratulate William Ruto for the win.

“Wewe Kweli ni meantime (You really are a man),” Wajackoyah was heard saying in the video.

Ruto in response thanked Wajackoyah saying he at one point endorsed his bid.

“Nashkuru ulinitetea mahali moja ukisema hata kama hampendi huyu mtu… (Thank you for defending me at one point when my opponents were hard on me…) William Ruto responded as they shared light moments at the Bomas of Kenya, moments before the winner of the presidential race was announced.
