Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has assured President William Ruto that he will still lose in the 2027 presidential race even if he names Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro as his presidential running mate.

A section of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party politician has been saying that Deputy President William Ruto is too temperamental to be president.

Last week, ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna Sifuna said he will have to hide in a foreign country in the event the deputy president wins the presidential election because of his anger.

Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition party presidential running mate Martha Karua said Ruto’s confirmation that he almost slapped his boss shows that he is politically immature to be President because he cannot manage his anger.

The 2022 presidential election front-runner William Ruto on Wednesday, July 13, lost his temper at a man who interrupted his meeting in Vihiga County.

But speaking in Kisii County on Wednesday, July 13, the second in command defended his public anger saying his purported anger was because the country is headed in the wrong direction.

Ruto said the current plight that Kenyans are facing including the tough economic times cannot make someone be happy.

“They are saying that I am angry, I want to Raila’s team, you are not angry because you do not understand the problems Kenyans are going through,

“Many Kenyans sleep hungry, that is not something to be happy about and that is why some of us are concerned. Stop telling us that we are angry, of course, we are angry with what is going on in the country,” William Ruto said.

He instead told them to concentrate on selling the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition party manifesto instead of talking about who is angry and who is not.

“I want to tell our competitors, let us not talk about who is angry and who is not, what is going on in Kenya is serious, the people of Kenya cannot afford food, and the price of basic commodities has gone up.
