A woman suspected to be a staunch supporter of UDA publicly lectured Deputy President William Ruto for failing to deliver on his campaign promises.

The woman whose identity is yet to be known said during William Ruto’s visit to Makueni on Friday, December 10, 2021, the second in command promised KSh 2 million to bodaboda riders and mama mboga’s, a promise that the presidential hopeful is yet to fulfill.

Speaking during a Kenya Kwanza rally in Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s Ukambani turf on Thursday, February 24, the brave woman put William Ruto on task asking him to first fulfill his KSh 2 million campaign promises he pledged to the hustlers.

A woman suspected to be a staunch supporter of UDA has publicly lectured Deputy President William Ruto for failing to deliver on his campaign promises.

“Alipena pesa huko Zombe lakini haikufikia wana bodaboda wangu. Tunataka hiyo pesa ifike hapa sahizi wanabodaboda wapate haki yao kwanza ndio tuanze kuongelea mambo yako,”

Loosely translated to; “In December, he (William Ruto) gave money to bodaboda at Zombe but the cash did not get to the intended recipients. We want the money to come here right now so that we can get what is rightfully ours before we start talking about other things,” the woman said.

The seemingly influential woman, who appeared to be threatening to marshal Ruto’s supporters in Ukambani region towards Raila Odinga, however, had her speech cut short.

Kivumbi.co.ke reported that on Monday, December 20, William Ruto’s supporters in Makueni took to the streets protesting over KSh 2 million donated by the deputy president.

Speaking to KTN News, the Ruto supporters accused directors and coordinators of the deputy president of shortchanging them.

“The deputy president donated that money to boda boda operators but it disappeared,” one of the protesters angrily said.

On her part, a Mama Mboga (fresh vegetables vendor) said it was unfortunate that they were conned by William Ruto handlers.

“You (William Ruto) gave us those people as coordinators but they are selfish thieves,” she noted.
