A poll conducted by Radio Africa Group has shown that William Ruto’s national rating is continuing to grow ahead of the 2022 battle with ODM leader Raila Odinga.
The poll indicated that William Ruto will garner 45.6 percent of votes while Raila Odinga will get 28.6 percent of the votes if the General Election is held now.
This implies that William Ruto’s national rating has grown from 42.7 percent while that of Raila Odinga has grown from 14.2 percent that was in a poll conducted in July this year.
The survey findings further showed that One Kenya Alliance Principals would rank as follows if the 2022 General Election is held today.
- Kalonzo Musyoka – 2.4 per cent
- Musalia Mudavadi – 1.9 per cent
- Gideon Moi – 0.9 per cent
The poll conducted in 47 counties showed that William Ruto will defeat Raila Odinga in all the regions except Nyanza.
Here is how Ruto and Raila ranked in various regions;
- Central Kenya Ruto would garner 58.7 percent of the votes compared to Raila’s 18.1 percent.
- North Rift and South Rift – Ruto would get 63.5 percent and 54.5 percent respectively. Raila would get 16.7 percent in North Rift and 23.4 percent in the South Rift.
- Upper Eastern and North Eastern – Ruto would secure 52.1 percent and 33.3 percent respectively, against Raila’s 22.6 percent and 24.8 percent.
- Nyanza – Raila would lead by 58.6 percent against Ruto’s 25.5 percent.
These polls come at a time when both Raila Odinga and William Ruto have intensified their 2022 Presidential campaigns by holding rallies across the country.
Allies of both Raila and Ruto have been competing on who holds the most rallies and with the biggest crowds.
